Nothing creates atmosphere quite like music.
The ultimate mood enhancer, chucking on your favourite tunes can do wonders for your state-of-mind, making it a perfect tool on days such as Valentine’s.
And with so many great apps
Whether it’s to woo a potential partner or simply lounge on the couch by yourself and fantasize about Johnny Depp, Miranda Kerr or Ricky Martin – whoever floats your boat!
Music is the magical source of empowerment that can for a while at least, make your daydreams more vivid than ever and if you’re lucky enough to be with the person of your dreams, create some intense romantic vibes.
Perhaps the greatest thing of all is the knowledge that with so much variety, it’s near impossible to stuff it up.
But for those clueless enough to believe Rammstein will get you to the next step in your relationship, we’ve got some tips that should at least guarantee a call back at some stage.
Tip #1 Pay attention to what he or she likes. It shouldn’t be too difficult considering you probably judged their worthiness to date on whether you’d be subject to Alan Jackson on a road trip in the very early stages. *Note: If you are in the early stages, then Alan Jackson is definitely something you should suss out before committing to a Valentine’s with the person.
Tip #2 Although you want a soundtrack that is pleasing to your conquest, it’s also important to include some of your own favs as well. Not only does it ensure that you have just as an enjoyable time, but can also be a great opening for discussion. Do they like it? Hate it? Have they heard it? This is especially handy for those freshly budding relationships, where awkward silences may be an issue.
Tip #3 Don’t be creepy. Steer clear of Barry, Rod and Marvin if you don’t know the person that well. Yes they are classics – but depending on your demeanor, they might come off as a tad predatory. On the flip side however, these three leading men of romance are great motivation for a Valentines on your own. The crooning tones of Barry are just what’s needed to boost self-esteem and remind you that you don’t need anyone else to “get enough of your love baby.”
