Snowtown’s residential aged care facility Lumeah Homes will receive $2.6 million in upgrades.
The funding will go towards redeveloping two wings of the aged care facility.
Member for Narungga Fraser Ellis is pleased the facility will receive the upgrade to meet fire safety compliance and to replace roofing.
Bathroom facilities will be refurbished as well as air-conditioning throughout the homes.
In September 2018, the Government provided an additional $14 million per annum for the next 10 years to significantly improve country hospital infrastructure and to undertake urgent upgrades.
The Snowtown Hospital Lumeah Homes project is expected to start this year and be completed in 2020.
