Port Augusta Racing Club is gearing up for the return of the 2020 Port Augusta Cup this weekend.
Lucky locals who wish to attend the event, must pre-purchase tickets, with only 1,000 on offer for members, owners, sponsors, adults and children.
Spectator attendance at the Cup has been given the all clear, following the recent announcement that Thoroughbred Racing South Australia’s measured approach will “Strike a balance between getting more people back to the track,” whilst ensuring the safety of industry participants and spectators.”
TRSA Chief Executive Officer, Nick Redin has said, “We have to keep segregated the people essential to put on the racing from those attending from a hospitality perspective and are asking patrons to respect this.”
President of the Port Augusta Racing Club Mr Jeff Tansell says “The committee and volunteers are working extremely hard to welcome patrons back for this year’s Cup event.”
All spectators will be required to pre-book and prepay for their tickets, as there will be none available at the gate.
Tickets are available from Office National, 16 Young Street, Port Augusta from Monday 9am, with Owners able to access tickets upon final acceptances on Thursday. Any remaining tickets will then be released Friday morning. Further details phone Secretary 0447 105 545.
